Watching the Pilot of Sleepy Hollow and laughing my butt off! LOL!!!!
Got to love the show for SO many different reasons!!!
My to-do list for today:
-Count my blessings
-Let go of what I can’t control
-Listen to my heart
-Be productive yet calm
Stay in the present. Whatever you are doing at the moment is the MOST important. Don’t worry about anything else until you get to it.
Life Style Change
Now, it might have been a while since I actually wrote anything on here, but I thought I might do a little writing now to record my current progress of thought for future references.
I have a goal with a deadline now.
Get into the Interior Design Program at one of US’s Top 10 Architecture Graduate Schools. Even thinking about it I sweat with nervous energy, excitement, and fear. (It really is something I REALLY REALLY want!)
I have been taking steps too. Studying for my GRE. Painting for my portfolio. Applying. Asking and securing three recommenders.
So why am I so nervous?
Maybe because I haven’t been doing all of it as efficiently as I can. And when we are not giving it our all, the fear of failure is ever present. I know it does for me! And if I did give my all, there would be peace.
SO, why haven’t I been efficient? Bad habits? Being constantly tired? Being addicted to reading novels?
Thus the title, LIFE STYLE CHANGE.
Someone said that it is never too late to start, that starting late is better than never. So I have been sleeping early, rising early (or earlier, haha. I’ll get better each day!), and I am adding exercise to my morning routine to boost my energy for the whole day!
It all sounds SUPER healthy, and super hard. But I’m determined! It’s my dream on the line!!! I WILL NOT FAIL!
(Definition of failing: of giving up when falling down, of falling down 7 times and staying down, of getting frustrated and giving up.)
NONE OF THAT!
I’ll be patient with myself as I transition into a better life style, and build new habits. I’ll be patient with myself as I struggle, at first, or even later on. I’ll fall down 7 times and get up a 8th time.
It is so amazing how writing something down can decrease stress, clear the path to my goal, make me even more determined.
Now on to clearing my desk and studying the verbal part of GRE, then calling the graduate school admissions with application form questions!
